Thank you for your interest in applying to perform at the 2018 ACA-Pocalypse!
Hello!
The Association of Chelmsford A Cappella (ACA) is formally extending an invitation to your high school’s a cappella group(s) to perform at our first annual ACA-Pocalypse event to be held on April 27th and 28th, 2018, at the Chelmsford High School Performing Arts Center! Performances will start at 7:00 p.m. and will end approximately 10:30 p.m.
This event is a two night celebration of a cappella. It will feature Northeastern University’s acclaimed Distilled Harmony who will perform on both nights. Each night will also feature performances by Chelmsford’s own high school groups, The Thursdays and the Crescendos. We are inviting area high schools to fill out the bill for each night, with five open performing slots for each night.
Now for the best part: Each participating school will have the opportunity to earn commissions by selling tickets. Ticket pricing will be $20.00 for adults and $15.00 for students. The commission schedule is as follows:
0-50 tickets sold: No commission.
51-99 tickets sold: $250.00
100+ tickets sold: $400.00
Commissions to be paid out within 30 days after the event.
In addition to the performances, the ACA-Pocalypse will also offer master classes on Saturday April 28th! Master classes are open to established groups, developing groups, and individuals not yet affiliated with a group. The master class schedule is under development at this time, but please stay tuned for further details. Admission to the master classes will be $15.00 per person, or if interested as a group, our group rate is $200.00 per group. Any commissions earned by ticket sales can be used towards master class admission cost.
There has already been a lot of informal interest in performing, so please let us know of your interest as soon as is possible.
If you would like to know more, please email to “roedera@chelmsford.k12.ma.us”. Should you wish to speak via phone, please feel free to call (978)341-5678.
